She has over 24 years of health care finance experience and 7 years clinical experience (dialysis specialty). She was a manager with Arthur Andersen & Co., specializing in health care audits, financial feasibility studies and operations consulting. Her hospital finance background includes positions in Revenue Management, Controller, Chief Financial Officer, Compliance and Internal Audit. As CFO, she had administrative responsibility for Financial Accounting, Patient Financial Services, Information Services, Health Information Management, Materials Management, Contracting, and Registration functions. Ms. Wakefield is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, Washington Society of Certified Public Accounts, Health Care Compliance Association, Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors, Institute for Internal Auditors, and HealthCare Financial Management Association. She has been program chair for the Pacific Northwest Regional conference for HCCA for three years and has had numerous speaking engagements.
