Jeff Ladenburger has dedicated his professional career to healthcare, specializing in internal auditing for tax-exempt healthcare organizations. For CHAN Healthcare Auditors, he supervises the provision of internal audit services to eight clients.
He joined CHAN in 2001 and developed the internal audit program for a new client, Catholic Healthcare Partners (CHP). He established the internal audit function at CHP and developed strong relationships with management and governance at all levels of the organization. He is based at CHP offices in Cincinnati.
Originally with Ernst & Young, Mr. Ladenburger initially provided both audit and consulting services to healthcare organizations in the Midwest. Beginning in 1989, he developed the internal audit program for the Sisters of Charity Health Care Systems (SCHCS) in Cincinnati, which consisted of hospitals and other healthcare providers in six states. SCHCS eventually became one of the original sponsors of Catholic Health Initiatives, the largest Catholic healthcare system in the United States. During this time, he also served as a member (four years) and the chairman (two years) of the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s (HFMA’s) Board of Examiners. Members of HFMA's Board of Examiners are responsible for defining the HFMA professional certification process, exam administration procedures, and the certification eligibility and maintenance requirements.
Mr. Ladenburger earned a B.S. in accounting from the University of Dayton in Ohio, and a master of healthcare administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors. He qualifies as an audit committee “financial expert” as defined by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
His dedication to community service includes serving on the boards of Ohio Valley Residential Services and Emmaus Initiatives.
