MICHAEL STAFFORD, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Michael Stafford has been the Chief Financial Officer at CHAN Healthcare Auditors since 1998. During his tenure here, CHAN has more than tripled in size.

He has more than 20 years of experience conducting financial accounting in a variety of industries. Prior to joining CHAN, he gained more than a decade of experience in the accounting departments of companies in the legal, retail, and public accounting industries. This included working for two large law firms: Armstrong Teasdale LLP and Peper Martin LLP (now Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin LLP), where he was the Manager of Finance. He served in the retail industry in the accounting department of Clark Refining and Marketing. He also spent three years working for public accounting firms Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers)and Rose Williams CPA.

Mr. Stafford earned a B.S. in accountancy from the University of Missouri – Columbia and has been a CPA since 1992. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors, and the Missouri Society of CPAs.

He enjoys performing community service for organizations such as New Covenant Church, where he serves in a leadership role assisting in both pastoral teaching and ministry.
