Vice President, Audit

Sarah Cole's healthcare auditing career began in 1995.  She joined CHAN in 2003 and within four years worked her way up from Audit Senior Manager to Audit Director to Senior Director to Vice President, Audit. Now she is in charge of all services to CHAN’s largest client, Ascension Health.

 She began her career with Ernst & Young in Indianapolis, auditing for almost eight years in the Health Care Assurance and Advisory Services group. She joined CHAN as an Audit Senior Manager for St. Vincent Health, an Ascension Health Ministry based in Indianapolis. As the Audit Director there, she built an outstanding audit team.

 Ms. Cole has also been a valuable member of CHAN’s Client Council, providing her leadership to the Core Objective Work Team devoted to audit committee education.

She is a CPA and has a B.S. in accounting from Indiana University.    She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Institute of Internal Auditors, and the Indiana CPA Society.

 Ms. Cole’s recent community service involvement has included serving as a board member and secretary for the Visiting Nurse Service Foundation and volunteering at the Indiana Veterans’ Home.
