THE CHAN ENVIRONMENT
Our Rewards Philosophy
Competitive compensation and benefits are essential to attracting and retaining the most talented people. Our philosophy is to be nationally competitive with family-oriented benefits, performance-based rewards, and incentives that help foster an increased sense of ownership among our Associates. CHAN is committed to providing our Associates with competitive rewards through a flexible compensation structure, which is designed to address diverse, changing business and employment environments, as well as specific individual performance. CHAN rewards Associates for performance, competency development, and overall company success through annual base salary, incentive compensation, and discretionary bonuses. This creates a positive and encouraging environment with opportunities for Associates to optimize their potential and be awarded fairly. Higher performance and contribution will lead to higher rewards.

Autonomy
At CHAN, you’ll work independently, while receiving the backbone support you need from us — including a results-driven audit process, automated audit system, systematic knowledge-sharing, supplementary expertise, and the leading-edge technology you’ll need to maximize your productivity. This leaves more time to focus on what you’ve been trained to do: assess internal controls.
Work/Life Balance
The well-being of our Associates is important to CHAN. We recognize the importance of the balance between work responsibilities and personal needs, as well as the impact of that balance on Associate well-being. Our work/life balance initiatives are not formal or highly publicized programs. Instead, we pride ourselves on our fundamental understanding of the people who make up our company and our commitment to a compassionate “give and take” relationship with our Associates. We recognize the diverse needs of our professional Associates in different phases of their lives. At CHAN, we strive to provide innovative solutions with positive effects on the overall quality of life, job satisfaction, and work performance.
Limited Travel: For the auditors at many firms, travel is a way of life — but not at CHAN. We believe it’s important to have a balance between our work and personal lives. Most of our Associates work regular hours at the hospital or health system they are assigned. With the exception of a few positions, travel is minimal.
Flexible Work Schedule: CHAN allows our professional Associates to exercise greater latitude in determining their work schedules for planned or unanticipated events while completing their work. Such flexibility is always subject to our clients’ needs and circumstances. Flexible hours may be utilized and include variations in starting and ending times or in the hours worked in a day, such as a compressed work week. When situations warrant, Associates may be able to work through telecommuting to accommodate family or personal needs. This flexibility allows our Associates to balance personal and professional commitments.
Paid-Time-Off Programs: Time of renewal and rest away from work is important for our busy professionals. CHAN extends a rich program of paid time off through 10 company-recognized holidays and a generous Paid-Time-Off (PTO) program, with an average of 21 days per year for new Associates.
