It gives them a chance to make bigger, earlier, and more frequent contributions than they would in other companies. CHAN is a great place to work for those who want to learn quickly and try new things. We emphasize and encourage personal and team development to an unusual degree. We believe that how we work together and develop as people and as an organization is as important as what we deliver to our clients.
We serve some of the most respected healthcare clients in the U.S. While our company is national in size and scope, we have a small-company feel and a caring approach. We go to great lengths to get to know our Associates and understand what is important to them in their professional and personal lives.
Our Growth Program
CHAN’s professional and personal growth program enriches Associates’ knowledge and skills, provides a learning environment that encourages growth and development, and enhances their work experience. We have a long history of promoting from within. Associates get an opportunity to grow based on their desire and performance, not on the time spent in a certain position. Among the many developmental venues for our Associates are:
- Mentoring: New Associates are quickly assigned a mentor to guide them through the nuances of their role and our company. Mentors provide a valuable support network and in-depth, personal training during times of transition. As an Associate progresses, she may wish to become a mentor herself and share her knowledge, skills, and experience with a colleague.
- Professional Certifications: CHAN encourages our professionals to pursue certifications or licenses that are appropriate to their career, and we offer financial assistance for many endeavors.
- Professional Memberships: CHAN believes our people should be active in their profession. We support memberships through reimbursement for dues and expenses associated with professional organizations, conferences, and community organizations.
- Professional Development: CHAN is committed to building our Associates into leaders. Our development programs offer multiple avenues to help Associates hone communication skills, exceed the needs of our clients, deliver high quality service, and develop themselves as leaders. We have many programs in place to facilitate development, including:
- Tuition Reimbursement
- Leadership Development Program
- Coaching Practices for Leaders Program
- Subject Matter Expert Program.
- Annual Conference: All of our Associates attend
our annual conference. The event features various educational tracks, which allows individuals to develop a personalized curriculum to meet their unique training and development needs. Depending upon the curriculum selected, Associates can complete up to 30 hours of CPE at the conference.
- Enterprise-wide Portal: CHAN’s enterprise-wide computer portal is the backbone of our ability to share our knowledge and expertise with one another and with our clients. The portal provides easy access
to CHAN research, work products, experience, and up-to-date information.
- Personal Development: Because personal growth is essential at CHAN, each Associate works with their supervisor to create a personalized development plan. The goal of the plan is to ensure each Associate identifies the specific complement of learning they need to develop in their role and prepare for increasing responsibilities in the coming years. Goal-setting, coaching, and feedback are essential components of the plan. While Associates “own” the plans, supervisors support the achievement of their individual goals.
